Cemetery & Parks Meeting
April 10, 2013
Kimball House
The meeting was opened at 7:05PM
Present were, Ray Boyes, Tubby Boucher, John Barett, Roger Rapoza., and Pam Haman.
Bills were reviewed and approved
Draft copy of the March minutes were reviewed changes and corrections will be made and minutes resubmitted.
Superintendents Report:
Roger will talk to neighbor next to the Kimball house the Department would like to trim the tree between both houses.
Work continues on the cemetery expansion/tree cutting at Riverside Cemetery and the property on Old Turnpike Rd.
Work needs to be done on the garage at Howard Park a metal roof being considered. Tree trimming has been done at Howard Park and wood chips spread.
Ideas will be needed to raise funds for Howard Park since there other available funds but the expense account. Possible band concert?
Roger would like to purchase a new jack to work on the mowers. The rest of the equipment is in good shape. John Barrett made a motion to allow Roger to purchase a new jack. Ray second all were in favor the motion carried.
A discussion was help on the cemetery expansion in West Townsend. Roger had ideas about how to lay out the roads and sections which would connect to the original cemetery.
Stumps will need to be buried and or ground up. Roger will look into best option.
Roger will check with the state to see if the highway “junk fill” is useable.
The next meeting is scheduled for May 15, 2013 at 7PM.
